WELCOME TO TAKE PART IN THE LARGEST WEAVING FAIR IN SWEDEN
– VÄV 2017 – IN VÄXJÖ, SEPTEMBER 21-23 2017.
The Swedish weaving fair will be arranged for the 14th time in 2017, and it is time for thousands and thousands of weaving enthusiasts to come to VÄV 2017. At the same time, the trade association the Swedish Weaving Council, which organises the fair, celebrates its 30 year anniversary.
This time, the fair's theme is THREADWAYS, with exhibitions and events related to weaving taking place all over the city centre of Växjö.
As an exhibitor at VÄV 2017, you will have the opportunity to meet the huge and keen weaving community from the Nordic countries and the rest of the world.
VÄV 2017 will have a commercial part, situated in the Tipshallen sports arena. There will be over 6000 m2 of space dedicated to exhibitors selling yarns, looms, textile tools and literature. Several textile exhibitions will also be shown in the arena. There will also be an area for activities and demonstrations where people can try weaving and various other crafts.
Next to the main fair is Myresjöhus Arena where talks and workshops will be held.
Registration for exhibitors will open on December 1, 2016, at http://www.svenskavav.com and end on January 31, 2017. The price is 900 SEK per m2 of exhibition space for members of the Swedish Weaving Council. Non-members pay 1200 SEK/m2 . A registration fee of 1500 SEK applies to all. Walls, carpet, electricity (230 V) and internet connection are included in the price. Additional equipment will be available for an extra fee – more information about this will be posted when registration opens. The smallest exhibition space available is 2 m x 2 m.
To exhibit at VÄV 2017, you must have some connection to weaving. During registration, you should state in what way the exhibited products/services relate to weaving. This will also need to show in the exhibit at the fair.
Schools that are members of the Swedish Weaving Council only pay 750 SEK as registration fee.
